The puristic instrument design of the Pilot’s Watch Automatic Spitfire dates back to the Mark 11 navigation watch, which was produced in Schaffhausen for the British Royal Air Force from 1948. The new IWC manufacture caliber 32110 is used for the first time in this functional timepiece, which measures a moderate 39 mm in line with the original. The robust self-winding movement has a bidirectional jack winding mechanism that generates a power reserve of 72 hours. An inner cage made of soft iron in a bronze case effectively protects the movement from magnetic fields. The green dial and brown calf strap are also eye-catchers of this unique pilot watch.
