A chronograph now complements the 1858 line from Montblanc. Designed for the next Mount Everest expedition of Nepalese mountaineer Nimsdai Purja, the new chronograph movement MB 29.27 of the 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen Ref. 129624 from Montblanc manages without any oxygen. The timepiece’s 44-millimeter case, which is water-resistant to 30 bar, is made of very light and robust titanium, making it perfect for mountain tours. The bidirectional rotating black ceramic bezel also features the cardinal directions for good orientation in the terrain. The eye-catching feature is the glacier-blue dial, which appears as if it has been frozen over with a layer of ice thanks to the rediscovered gratté boisé technique. The impressive mountaineering watch is fitted on an easy-to-change blue calfskin strap and is limited to only 290 pieces worldwide.
